Understanding Response Time Metrics

Who this is for:

EMS leads, QA teams, Supervisors

Prerequisites:

Incidents must have accurate timestamps (dispatch, en route, on scene, facility).

Key Metrics

  • Dispatch Time - Time from case creation → ambulance assignment.

  • Response Time - Ambulance assignment → arrival on scene.

  • Scene Time - Time spent at scene by EMT crew.

  • Transport Time - Scene departure → arrival at facility.

  • Total Incident Time - Call received → case closed.

How to View

  1. Navigate to Analytics.

  2. Select Response Time Report.

  3. Filter by date, ambulance, or incident type.

Troubleshooting

  • Missing response times → EMT did not update statuses in real time.
