Basic emergency medical dispatch knowledge.

Purpose

Incident priority determines dispatch urgency.

Typical Priority Levels

  • Priority 1 (Critical) – life-threatening emergencies

  • Priority 2 (Urgent) – serious but stable

  • Priority 3 (Non-urgent) – minor injuries or stable conditions

Steps

  1. Review caller interrogation notes.

  2. Assign a priority based on:

    • Consciousness

    • Breathing status

    • Mechanism of injury

    • Multiple casualties

  3. Update priority in the Incident Creation screen.

Troubleshooting

  • Priority field missing → refresh or check permissions.
