How to Cancel an Incident

Who this is for:

Dispatchers

Prerequisites:

Incident must not be closed.

Reasons for Cancellation

  • Caller rescinds emergency

  • Duplicate incident

  • False alarm

Steps

  1. Open the incident.

  2. Click Cancel Incident.

  3. Add mandatory cancellation reason.

  4. Confirm.

Troubleshooting

  • Cancel button disabled → incident may be closed.

  • Crew notified late → contact EMT directly.
